Imari Style Accent Lamps
This is a set of two table lamps. I found them in New Orleans, and they were originally set up as oil lamps. They are made of china and are in two pieces - a stem and a globe. I have put the pieces together with a museum type clay and they can be separated.
I have no reference as to origin or era. However, I can safely bet the origin to be Asian export ware. I would also bet they were intended for the European market - the oil lamp fixtures were metric.
While these lamps were intended as a matching set, the designs are hand painted and vary a bit.
Measurements: 19" tall and 8" wide with the shade; 4" wide without the shade.
The shades are new and very high quality. The lamps have been wired by Lone Pine Lighting of Dayton, VA.
